i know we love our beloved Runnin Rebels, but the Star Wars Rebellion were the original Rebels.

A long time ago, I’m a galaxy far far away.

I’m hoping it will be better than ESB?

Any predictions, merchandise, comments?

I'm not crazy about J.J. Abram's vision for Star Wars(or Star Trek) but almost anything is better than the prequels and Lucas's awful dialogue. It's Star Wars so it'll do great on opening weekend.

Shakur Juiston is a Jedi Master. Not making this up.

The force is strong with him.

Will McCoy bring balance to the force?

On a serious note, I dunno anything about this new director. Then again nobody knew anything about the ESB director either. I forgot his damn name.

JJ Abrams sucks. Episode 7 was episode 4 redux. It was terrible upon 3rd viewing. Rumors are he’s supposed to do the episode 9. Needs to go back to Star Trek permanently.

Attempting an all Star Wars related media blackout until I see the film Thursday night. The last Jedi visual dictionary has leaked and I've already had moments spoiled.

As for rian johnson, apparently what he has done with this film was enough for Disney to tell him he would be writing the next trilogy and directing at least the first installment.

I have a feeling I'll be walking away from this film calling it not only the best Star Wars film of all time, but maybe even one of the greatest films ever made.

Predictions: snoke isn't plageuis. I do, however, believe that snoke knew him.

Rey's parents won't have any importance in the over all story, she won't be a kenobi, solo or skywalker. That story may not even be a part of this film.

Luke will be presented as something of a coward for running away to a place no one could find even though he was aware of the evils in the galaxy, snoke and the first order. He will then proceed to vaporize the knights of Ren.

DJ will become everyone's boba fett of this trilogy.

I actually think I may know too much to get into the predictions part of this post seriously cause I'd hate to ruin anything.

I hated TFA. I hope this one doesn't suck too.
There’s no way it will suck. You can’t follow up a bad movie with a much worse movie.

The good news is that the commercials aren’t giving away anything. Except they just showed Ren offering his hand to what looks like Rey..

That pissed me off.

What about that tv spot where Rey catches Kylos light saber between 2 praetorian guards in snokes throne room? That was a lot all in a matter of seconds. I was really surprised that they released that, but really it doesn't tell the scene. Is she fighting kylo? Are they fighting snoke? Does snoke kill kylo and she takes the blade? Won't know until Thursday.

I'm going to go back to Rey's background and further say that her bloodline is of no matter. Her parents were scavengers and that's how she survived. Because she knew exactly what to do. Further more, her force vision in the force awakens was all pov of the kyber. She was thrown into its memories. Part of what should make this film so great is the explanation of the details. We've learned a bit about kybers in rebels and rogue one. We will learn more in this film for sure. It's a living stone. The new darth Vader comics touch on this and explain why the sith lightsaber is red. I highly recommend that series. That saber had been through the clone wars and beyond. Rey's greatest finding will be why she was abandoned. Not who abandoned her. The people that abandoned her won't be significant. See the lego freemaker series. A family of kids that collect scrap. While not considered canon, it's probably a good depiction of her lineage.

Interested in knowing why you hated it.

There was a lot of episode 4 comparison, which made sense. I, personally, don't think that story is done being told yet. Snoke appears to be extravagant and ambitious and his version of the Death Star was over the top. Once we know more about snoke, we will understand the rehashed elements much better. Draining the sun? Palpatine was never that ambitious. In fact, palpatine was terrified of snoke. Snoke is palpatine on a much MUCH larger scale. In ways we have yet to see. Who he is and why he is are the things we have yet to see. He's the deepest character in this trilogy and we have no idea who he is. The force awakens will make more sense after this film, and not be viewed as a remake any longer.

It did't feel like a Star Wars movie to me. The similarities to Episode IV bothered me, but it really just felt like a spin off movie. I liked Episode I better.

No spoilers, I walked out feeling exactly what I thought I would. This is the greatest installment of the saga, and quite possibly the greatest film I have ever seen.

Better than Road House?
Ahem, I think you mean robocop there, partner.

I've got a couple of beefs with the last Jedi, but it was truly an ultimate thrill ride from start to finish. Some people seem hung up on the comedic elements, they worked for me. The main characters gave phenomenal performances. The film is incredibly emotional. It's gripping. And it doesn't go anywhere you expect it to. Seriously, if you haven't been spoiled yet, go see it before it happens, because this film has some incredible events that you'll want to see without knowing about them. Some have said that this must be what it was like to see a new hope when it was released. I was totally blown away and I'm really looking forward to seeing it again, and further, reading the novelization. Go see it now.

Scrub - "...So what I told you was true, from a certain point of view." :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

OMG - I never once in a million years thought the movie Megaforce would EVER be mentioned on a Rebel-Net message board.

But there it is.

When I was like 9 that was my guilty pleasure movie. Trucks with laser guns that changed colors. Motorcycles with wings that fires rockets. A dope van with a wedge-like nose and a radar, and the buggys armed to the teeth. Even holograms. They made matchbox cars out of these vehicles and I had them all. "Ace."

** The Last Jedi - My rating (no spoilers) **
Anyhow, saw The Last Jedi. It did some things very well, and it id some things pretty poorly. I enjoyed the movie overall, but there were just SO many missed opportunities to make it totally badass. Oh well. Good movie, not great.
