UNLV picked up SR Wing 5' 11" Shelbee Brown from Akron.
Averaged 14 points per game and 8.9 Rebounds. Solid pick up.

5'11" Forward from Sandy, UT. Her dream was to play at a 4 year college so now she has her chance. One more commitment, she comes from the JUCO ranks.
She, was a 2nd Team JUCO All-American.
Good for her.5'11" Forward from Sandy, UT. Her dream was to play at a 4 year college so now she has her chance.
We need Height.Good for her.
Still, need a PG and a power foward/center.
I was just going to say the same thing, they need someone 6’6” and still me taller wings! We need Height.
Don't understand the fascination of getting 3 players at 5' 11", from the portal. We need Height.
Teagan needs a lot of development, and I'm trying to be nice here. Hopefully, the coaching staff is listening and finds us a PG. And, absolutely agree on the height issue. Maybe, we just don't have the nil for it. I don't know.Don't understand the fascination of getting 3 players at 5' 11", from the portal.
We, have 1 PG in our entire roster and her name is Teagan Colvin. Yikes.
This is the girl from Vegas who was shot several times at a house party after she committed to USC. I don’t blame her for not wanting to come back home. Parents probably want her to stay away from Vegas also. This, is shocking. A team that is perennial in last place in the MW.
What about your hometown?
This issue/reality rearing it’s ugly head again!Teagan needs a lot of development, and I'm trying to be nice here. Hopefully, the coaching staff is listening and finds us a PG. And, absolutely agree on the height issue. Maybe, we just don't have the nil for it. I don't know.
I wonder if she is the big man's coach. Coaching the front court, like Karlie Burris did.I saw we hired Joslyn Tinkle as Assistant Coach. Burris got the HC job at Portland State so gave us that opening. I hope Joslyn works out. She played with Lindy at Stanford. Also, Tinkle's dad is the HC at Oregon State so she has been around basketball probably her whole life. I like the hire. She has WNBA and overseas experience and has bounced around as an assistant coach. Welcome to Las Vegas.

What surprised me about Burris is that the Portland State hire announcement was giving her credit for recruiting Colvin. If that is true then I'll drop the mic and leave it there. I hadn't heard that before.I wonder if she is the big man's coach. Coaching the front court, like Karlie Burris did.
Hopefully, she is a good recruiter. UNLV needs talented big's and talented forwards.
Yes, Karlie Burris would make frequent trips to Coeur d'Alene, ID to see Teagan Colvin play. What surprised me about Burris is that the Portland State hire announcement was giving her credit for recruiting Colvin. If that is true then I'll drop the mic and leave it there. I hadn't heard that before.

Yes, Karlie Burris would make frequent trips to Coeur d'Alene, ID to see Teagan Colvin play.
Burris was the main recruiter for her. Even though, she was a guard and Burris tended to recruit bigs.
Yes, her name is Brookeslee Colvin. Another PG who plays for the same HS as Teagan.
She, has tons of offers from P4 colleges. Iowa, Michigan, West Virginia and Colorado to name a few.
IMO, I think she is the more talented basketball player out of the 2.
Hope, she can play with her sister at UNLV.
Ditto.Hm. Maybe I read it here first from you? Who knows, I'm old.
Great, pick-up in the middle!Lady Rebs sign 6'3" Destiny Brown (CSN -> Alcorn St. -> UNLV).

Still hoping for a PG.
6' 3" - 6' 4" height, is pretty good for mid-major programs. The ladies need some height in the middle, the 6’3” to 6’4” bigs are not going to cut it in March!
Destiny Leo > Sydni SummersThe weird thing is that I've seen Destiny Leo and Sydni Summers as the projected pickups but Destiny Brown has been announced as signing. Time will tell.
Wisconsin and Cal were reported as being in on the bidding as well for Leo.Destiny Leo > Sydni Summers
Destiny is an almost 2,000 point scorer! She, came back from an injury this year and only averaged 11.3 points per game.
It, takes time to come back from an injury. I, really hope we get Leo. She's, deadly from the 3 point line.
She, played at the Horizon League. Same league, as former UNLV player Nneka Obiazor played.

UNLV, needs a higher NIL. To, compete with those 2 programs.Wisconsin and Cal were reported as being in on the bidding as well for Leo.
Still looking. Last year, UNLV had 3 PG's.So, are we going with Colvin for PG or are we still looking?
Still looking. Last year, UNLV had 3 PG's.
Right now, only 1.
Under Lindy we've had Booker and Jackson. I don't remember Lindy as HC without a PG. Not saying we couldn't do it but, we seem to have had solid PG's running the team. Alexander may be capable. Teagan is not ready. My (uneducated) guess is that they will roll with Aaliyah Alexander, Teagan and, if the signing comes to fruition, Sydni Summers from SJSU. They have had a couple of seasons without true PGs competing in the role. Not championship seasons mind you...
I’ll add to this, getting a moderately sized “big” in the middle too..Why, is it so hard to get a PG? I, know they are in high demand but getting at least one shouldn't be hard to do.
If, Colvin and Alexander are our only PG's next year. Expect, 5 turnovers a piece from them. We, are in trouble.
It's weird how I don't remember much from those Covid years including 20-21. I never got Covid but, I was also moving from one state to another during that season.'20-'21
Bailey Thomas played as starting PG though clearly not one. Nia Johnson and Melanie Isbell were backups.
Essence came in the next season ('21-'22).
