That was a quad 2 loss. Not too bad. We went in with a 46th NET. I think we are good if we get to the finals.
We, have to win the Mountain West Tournament to get into the NCAA's.
No way, are they going to take 2 teams from the Mountain West.
They, only care about the P5 schools and not the mid-majors.
UNLV is angry and will take their frustration out on whoever is in front of us.
All that being said, I don't want to play Wyoming in the Finals.
Hoping, CSU beats them in the Semi's.
Game reminded me so much of the Creighton game in the Tourney. Their three point shooting was great especially when we focused so much on stopping the plays in the paint. They had great spacing on the floor and we had to focus on Fertig under the basket. Whenever they got the ball inside it was easy for them to kick it out to an open player. And they were deadly from the 3 last night. It was their senior night and they played hard and focused. A tough night for us but we will rebound in MW Tourney.
Glad to see Spencer come off the bench and get some playing time in a game like that. It will help later on.

I was a bit surprised at how short the rotation seemed. The altitude does get to players and then later in the game the legs might not quite be there for closeouts and shots. Rachi had herself a night. Also thinking if Meadow had been better about fouls that she could have kept driving by Fertig at will for layups.

Good points. Getting down by 12 points in the 1st Quarter forced us to respond with more energy to catch up. That hurt us and took it's toll on us physically at that altitude. As the game was late in getting on FS1 I was watching the live stats and saw early on that Brackins seemed to take the first 3 3 point shots and missed all of them. She needed to focus on defense and offense around the basket and then let the offensive game come to her. Yes, the rotation did seem short. Not sure what subs happened in the 1st Qtr as we couldn't see the game but after that I don't believe I saw Winfrey or James. If James was in there I don't remember seeing her.

Kenadee didn't play at all. I saw the whole game on FS1 and Fertig was a man among boys against Brackins.
Fertig did anything she wanted against Brackins shot because of her length and height. Brackins really struggled.
