The way we performed the other night I would have to say they are ready. We looked really good. Defense will have to be good tonight. I can't wait to see the game.
Heartbreak loss to SDSU. Was leading by 8 points, starting the 4th quarter only to lose the game.

By the way, it looks like Freshmen Meadow Roland will be Freshmen of the year and 6th player of the year!

Suds had a couple of really good runs tonight but, we were just better. Jackson's 27 points was great. Good game for the Lady Rebels. Sure made up for that last meeting with suds.

Good game but they need to stop this being up 1then giving away big runs esp to start 4th qtr. Killed us at UA
Only caught 2nd half but looked good, don’t like these 15 pt leads in 4th getting down to 5 and making it harder. Could be wrong but happened 3-4 times this season

But, both teams settled down, the last 3 quarters. Career high for Kiara. I am sure going to miss watching her play.
As, we don't really have a PG. I, don't trust Teagan Colvin either and Kimpson is more of a combo guard.
We, need a high impact Sr in the transfer portal next year.

Hopefully, we can pick up a PG in the portal for next season. Colvin needs about 3 more years of development. The Israeli girl coming in is another scoring guard so yeah, we need to find someone to run the point.
Teagan really needs work on scoring at this level. She's done a pretty good job of learning how to get others involved since the start of the season. Been a bit spoiled here with Essence and Kiara. Bailey Thomas did a pretty good job moving into the PG role without being a huge scorer. Macy Spencer was originally listed as a PG, maybe she will slide in and get some time there as well.
Definitely agree that this team lets teams back in or misses opportunities to put teams away. On the whole, I like where the team is now compared when conference play started. A lot more.

I agree with Macy Spencer. She should be getting more time. Plays good defense. Passes the ball well. Always active . Good basketball IQ. If given the time on the court she could develop into that PG we need.
I am going to miss playing CSU Rams too. UNLV wins 69 - 65 @ CSU.

We, got 1st place in the regular season. This, part is over. Congrats, on 4-peating.
UNLV, is still heavily favored to win the Mountain West Tournament also come March.
I don't know if it's amazing but it is pretty damn good. We need to get a win in the NCAA Tourney for me to all it amazing. Next year is going to be tough. The point guard recruited to take over for Kiara is not working out imo. After the last two great point guards we don't have one yet unless Lindy can develop Macy Spencer as the PG. But, she is being used more of a SG. Perhaps Rachi could take the point. I think she can. But, Colvin is not ready and I'm trying to be nice here.
Lindy, is amazing because this had never been done at UNLV and if she wins the MWC Tournament.
This, will be the first time in the history of the MW, that a program has won 4 straight MW regular season and MW Tournaments.

Macy Spencer's game, plays more like a shooting guard. I, don't see any PG tendencies in her game.
Kimpson, is our best player to convert to PG next year. I am hoping, they land a SR PG in the transfer portal.

After wins on the road they usually celebrate by getting ice cream. I sent her a text after they clinched their 4th straight MWC season title and asked, "4 scoops?" She said, "ALL the scoops."
The staff is pretty fantastic as well. Excellence all around.
Rachi will be the point and Teagan has work to do. I asked about Spence at the chalk talk and coach said that she was an off guard in HS and may have played some point but most likely stay as a 2.

She is not participating Senior Day. She, also has a Covid/Medical RS year to use.
