Its starting.

With UNLV i am in a wait and see mode. We will see if they actually fire Kruger and if they do can they actually bring in the right hire to replace him. Right now i dont have much faith in either.

Some qualifiers in the tweet, CKK did beat AFA and remains to be seen about tomorrows performance. Obviously they can’t repeat today.

Sounds like a very fluid situation. I don’t think Harper will pull the trigger unless he has a great coach lined up and ready to take the job. So the boosters won’t be spending 2 million, it’ll be 4-5 million. I don’t see Harper pulling the trigger for a big west coach.

SDSU is also going to be coach shopping... My money is on Dutcher to Minnesota especially if they lose today to Boise and don't make tournament
Really have to wonder if a job at a big 10 bottom feeder is better than SDSU where you are in top tier of conference each year. Seems moving up is a pay day, but eventually you get fired in the move up job.

Doesn't matter. Its his Alma mater, he's reached his peak at SDSU, worse season in decade, and they'll come harder than they did last time...

He has turned Minnesota down at least once maybe more previously, and it was his Alma mater then too. I won’t be surprised whichever way he decides this time but listening to some of his interviews I feel like he is really frustrated with NIL which is limited at SDSU. I think if he does leave that means UM has promised him a lot of NIL funds.

On the flip side I think he’s a coach that maximizes the talent he has and has players that buy in to his system. He has won with guys that have stuck around several years so older players. This years team is really young. I’m not sure how well his strengths transfer to the BIG where there is so much more talent, better coaches, etc

I've been tossing and turning all night. I want this season to end ASAP. i wanna see how serious we are about getting a new coach. In my opinion I think WILL WADE already knows where he wants to go. I think it's a match made in heaven. This is about of a big of a homerun hire we could make. With his personality he'll make UNLV the most hated team in America AGAIN and the most loved by his fans. It makes too much sense for him to come here over other schools. Even the bigger ones. Love his demeanor also. Does not give a F##k. IMO HE WOULD DOMINATE FOR YEARS TO COME.

Can I “double” like this!

Pay and NIL are the two biggest things a successful coach has to consider.

Dutch isn’t exactly young either, wave a big check in front of him like Purdue did for Odom and who knows?

If Dutch leaves, taking money, SDST has no money to compete in NIL. Minny is bottom job, need new arena big time. Top minnesota kids don't stay either.

They went after him in 2021, he left the door open. The job hadn't been open since, but if any year shows why you'd leave, it's this one. They had to replace entire roster and finished 5th in MWC, losing this afternoon likely means no tournament... roster probably turns over again because their 2 best players are going to want more $$... they'll probably come hard, even as a bottom feeder it'll give him a shot to build and also get out from Fishers shadow.

More then aztecs! UNLV has horrible coach in KK

U getting Inoue tickets for may 4? 200 and up! I expect thousands of japanese fans will make it to vegas!
. I already saw Inoue at the Virgin Hotel.

Hopefully they open the upper level. I’ll get tix if upstairs is open.

pure nepo hire.

I’d reach out to Augmon or Reggie at this point.

Or go lateral move and hire one of the better MWC successful coaches.

I’ll go if they open up upper level seating. Shakur Stevenson was only lower level.

Upper is open, pricey tickets, 5k for ringside

If UNLV is going to spend the money to payoff CKK, then they are going to go for a big time hire, and not go for a past UNLV player or MWC coach.

Dutcher is probably a goner now that Boise State completely out hustled STDU and won by 10.
That's my belief... he's got a better resume than Niko and he's got a better story...
UM hasn't been good legitimately since his Dad resigned in protest, it's a perfect storybook ending, and he gets out from Fishers shadow... no matter how much success he has had there, it'll always be the program Fisher left him
