I have noticed that he recently started following UNLV football and staff. While it may not mean a lot, it at least says UNLV is starting to get noticed by big time players! What's really nice is when some of those top-notch QB's talk to you and emphasize that they'll switch positions just to come here. I'm thinking that his son could be our best QB the day he steps on campus but he's just hoping to make the team. Wow!
That's what I used to do on NCAA 2003. By season 3 of recruiting I was getting 5* players on my way to 28 straight BCS Championships. If Arroyo wants to hire me as a recruiting coordinator, I think I'm more than qualified.
I have taken UNLV to the promise land so many times in that game back in the day.
Funny thing, I think I tried to create Randall Cunningham's kid in the game, but couldn't recruit him, SMH...
Games were fun back then when you could do that sort of thing. Even before the modern games, as a kid ... I remember 3 on 3 basketball on intellivision (but you had 7 on roster) ... you couldn’t rename the players, they were static .., but they could loosely represent your favorite team by way of similar stats ... I’d play that constantly, Rebels vs whoever. Of course, the AI is weak and my top seven would all average a triple double and the Rebels would average about 160 points per game. But still, kept you occupied and dreaming.
Considering back in the day UNLV averaged 110 points per game in basketball, 160 doesn't sound that far fetched!
