What would you do to get things on the right track Tuesday when we play New Mexico?
If I were Rice, I would at least go out with a bang. I would try and completely shake things up. I would refuse to be run out of town without a last-ditch effort, and would refuse to let a couple of entitled players dictate how my time at UNLV ends. Here's what I would do:
1.) Start Cook, Cornish, Zimm, Carter, and Jones.
2.) Make it very clear to my guards that the ball should be passed to Zimm or Ben every single possession.
3.) No three point attempts unless you are wide open and in the flow of the offense.
4.) Insert Poyser and Morgan as the primary back ups to the starters.
5.) In foul trouble, insert McCaw, Nwamu, and Seagears for short spurts, but on VERY tight leashes.
6.) Anyone not willing to follow the gameplay - Come sit next to me on the bench.
7.) Have my walk-ons on-tap and ready to play in the event of insubordination.
