I personally think we`ll see better sets when opposing teams throw a zome. At Findlay, they ran the exact plays and broke it down.

I say we got 9-6 and finish the conference season at 9-9. Who knows, maybe they can win the MWC tournament on our home floor. There really aren't any dominant teams in the MWC

This roster is overrated IMO. Where is the leader of this team? Who is the star player? It's the most talented roster but it still has major issues. I want to see 4 and 5 star recruits that dominate college teams and not just high school teams.

Simon has an incredibly weak resume for someone who is coaching this team. Maybe he can surprise us but I'm not expecting much.

I agree that based on how the players have been used they are not very talented. It is impossible to retool offensive and defensive concepts with one or two practices before the next game. I fully expect the team to play hard on Tuesday and probably a little bit relaxed now that they don't have to worry about getting their coach fired. I just assume we will see a lot of the same.

This team has some good athletes and a few decent players but we do not have a "go to" guy or someone that can take over the games. Other than Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, and UNC there are very few teams that have an entire roster of studs. Give me two guys who can do the scoring, 2 hard nosed defensive players (Lou Amundson, Joel Anthony type) and a spot up shooter any day over what we have now.

I hope they turn it around but other than be more relaxed I doubt we will see huge changes as it is almost impossible to change schemes and strategy in the middle of the season.

Who knows though? Maybe Simon has a bunch of ideas that Rice refused to consider and maybe the team will go 15-0. I am definitely more excited to go to the game Tuesday than I was after the Wyoming loss. Would like to see them feature Zimm and Poyser a little more in the offense.

I still believe in this roster. Looking forward to seeing the kind of effort we get. Really hope the staff gets behind Simon. That will be crucial obviously.

It's entirely possible this move will light a fire. It's not like we've been getting blown out of games. A few tweaks could make this team significantly better. Maybe Simon will have a different idea about minutes allocation.

I'm ready to see this team turn the page and make us proud.Go Rebs.

I feel exactly the same way. If some fundamental things get cleared up ok. If I see better energy from these guys I will be a little upset. That should have been there all along.

No PG, so any size lead by the Rebels is not safe.

An Interim Coach, whose best experience is one year as Head Coach at the High School level.

A group of Assistant Coaches who are pissed that they have been passed over for the Interim Head Coach job because Cliff Findlay is running this agenda.

A group of Dave Rice players that are pissed their Coach is fired mid-year.

3-15 MWC, 12-19 overall.

I would think the assistants will be professionals and do everything they can to help the team move forward. Unknown is how the players are going to react. I would imagine you will see guys on the bench quicker and longer if they go solo.

real players that love basketball will pick up the pace regardless of coach. they have nowhere to go, so then play basketball and move on. the lineup with this team is critical imho. seagers needs to watch poyser from the bench to start with.

Not sure how accurate this is; interesting how haven't really heard anything from the players yet. I think by the end it was obvious to anyone who knows anything about basketball, players included, that Rice couldn't coach a lick.

I will say I have little confidence in any of these assistants... not like Rice was the only one unable to reach or motivate these players, the assistants have all been here all along as well. We'll see... Simon's upcoming performance can't be any worse than the putrid new status quo, at least.
