Hey Reb - Cody Scherff

Possibly another walk on situation, something to keep an eye on. All will be revealed at the presser @ 3pm.

Sanchez mentioned going multiple TE's already , with Price, Holt & Kanteman. Scherff looks like he would be a nice piece for depth.

Our running game was already good last year without the proper personnel. It should be even better this year.

If some of the younger lineman come along (Jacobsen, Polu etc) this could be a pretty solid front. The young RB's should be even more productive with the added experience as well.

One of the many reasons why CTS hired Barney is because Barney loves running behind heavy sets involving Y-TEs [on the line of scrimmage], H-TEs [in the backfield or on the wing] and H-back/FBs. Go watch some of the Husker v. UCLA Bowl Game for a great example of what I'm talking about. In that game you'll see a lot of the sets he used the years before when he was the running game coordinator at Nebraska. The best runs against UCLA's 3-4 front in the Foster Farms Bowl were with a Y-TE on the line of scrimmage [his son Sam], the H-TE at the wing [Cethan Carter] plus a FB [Janovich] ISO blocking on the Bruins' OLBer. There were times where they lined up with two Y-TEs, one H-TE plus the FB. They simply pounded UCLA for 500 yards primarily using those sets.

I really like Holt. I think he could produce some match up nightmares.

With Stantons ability to throw and Boyd and Keys getting 1v1 this offense will be able to create some big plays w/ playaction.
