...I can't help but feel some optimism after the last 2 games. Otz has gone from an awful coach to possibly knowing what he doing...whether it's from sitting starters or improving on how he's preparing the kids for games. I've been happy with how we attack the zone and defense in general as well as the effort he's getting. The fellas seem to really WANT to compete and win now. This is a complete 180 from not that long ago where they seemed half interested and essentially ran nothing on offense.
The injuries and kids getting in trouble has strengthened our bench, mostly giving us a more than capable backup PG once Long returns.
We'll see if we've "turned the corner" or if this is fool's gold after USU shot 2 for 90 from deep. Air Force scores a lot more points than they used to and their SOS is very bad. Rebs are just -5.5 as I type this.
