Hauck - can he just go away?

Hauck describes it as if he improved UNLV during his time here, yet Sanford had back-to-back 5-win seasons just before Hauck showed up to produce three consecutive 2-win seasons. Hauck can also thank Sanford for giving him Caleb Herring for his ONLY season where he won more than 2 games. Hauck took UNLV backwards, or at best, made no progress whatsoever.

Now he is crying over 30 days of pay! What did he even do for the last year of pay he received?

Sanchez has put in more effort in his first 30 days to gather support from the community then Hauck did in his entire time at UNLV.
I still think it's funny that he got hired as a special teams coach. When he was running the "special" teams here at UNLV, they were....uhhh...not good to put it mildly.

Not taking Hauck's side here but if there was an agreement reached it should be honored regardless of his performance. That said, I wonder why the question was even brought up though or why they even bridged the topic. I thought Hauck had handled the situation with class. This isn't on par with the Sanford rant when he left, but its still a shot at the university and in my opinion reflects poorly on him.

I hope Aztec fans are ready to see some amazing special teams. Things like fake punts being called AGAIN after a false start. Delay of games after a time out on FG attempts. To many men on the field for a punt...

Given how quick Hauck shut down questions from the media about football, injuries, recruiting, etc., it's interesting now how open and candid he's responding to these "contract problem" interview questions.

It looks like coach Hauck has gone from being a bad coach, and a first class jerk, to just being a plan ordinary liar. Unless he has different evidence, it looks like coach (does not deserve the title of coach) Hauck believes he should be paid for for the month of December even though he resigned on the first of December. It looks like he is now where he belongs at StDSU. He is just a disease.

Hauck is playing dirty here. Just walk away. I know UNLV went above and beyond when ways were parted and now he's getting very greedy after UNLV bent over backwards to do the right thing. UNLV went above and beyond what most employers would... He needs to be thankful instead of spiteful.

Hauck was worth only a fraction of what he got paid based on what he produced as a coach. He received a couple of million dollars over his tenure to basically lose games week after week. I could have done that for half the price.

The same person that wouldn't allow anyone to be on social media now has an account. I wonder how many people from UNLV he will need to block who want to know why he was trying to get paid for work he didn't do at UNLV. The big joke of him making a threat through social media to file suit against UNLV, what a joke. The one thing I will give to TKM, she will have way to much class to waste time filing a lawsuit for slander against Hauck!

Let the courts decide, if that's what it comes to.
UNLV did the right thing so his family would have health insurance through the end of the year ... And then he's going to pull this garbage? Have a shred of class instead of being selfish and ungrateful. Please. UNLV didn't have to do what they did for him.

You know it's bad when ME of all people is sticking up for the actions of UNLV.

He needs to give it a rest and move on.

How can he be angry with UNLV? He made about a half a million per win while he was here (yes, I know it's an exaggeration, but the guy failed in every facet as a head coach - and this latest event miffs me because I thought he was at least a decent guy.)

It boils down to what the contract said & whether or not UNLV met those conditions. You nor I know those details. Like I said, let a court decide, if it comes to that. A contract is a contract; all other considerations, including BH's record, personality, etc., are aside.

But, thank you for responding to this post, since moderator bcvegaspt has banned my other posts in other threads. I would hope your forum is open to disagreeing and dissenting opinions, provided they are done respectfully, which I have done. I request that those banned posts be posted.

Thank you for your attention.

I know more than you think I know. He's out of line in this situation. Period. If it goes to court, he's going to look really bad.

I don't moderate but it's clear you have an agenda. You don't care about UNLV football, you care only about Hauck.

Ok, you know more about it than I do. Fine. I only felt compelled to respond to any threads/posts re: BH that denigrated him unjustly, in my view. I don't know why this story is such an issue. I thought that since he is gone, that's the end of it. If he is out of line in this, so be it.

My "agenda" has been only to point out some positives about BH, that he's a better coach than his performance at UNLV. Everyone acknowledges that UNLV football has been a problem. I am a Rebel fan and do hope that Mr. Sanchez can turn the program around, since he comes in with a lot more local support and cachet than previous coaches have had. I would love to see the Rebels win a MWC championship. So, you know where I'm at on this.

I do, however, suggest you converse w/ bcvegaspt as to why he deleted my posts in two other threads. I've never been treated this way on any forum.
