So random but a buddy of mine follow the findlay prep web series "the season" quite religiously and ran across an episode where Grant Rice (coach Daves brother) was giving a pregame speech (9:21 part of the video which kinda just told Muhammad to dominate the ball) and halftime speech (19:34 part of the video din't really motivate the team at halftime and players pretty much policed themselves) to his team (2012 roster with Shabazz Muhammad, Ben Carter and Roscoe Allen as seniors). Maybe he doesn't coach like that all the time or maybe it was the way the video was cut and edited, but the point Im trying to make is that if Coach Grant coaches like that, whats to say thats not what happens in the Rebel locker room too at halftime ?
Not trying to bash the Rice brothers at all, I like them both and still believe coach Dave will have this thing turned around. Just saying that maybe that why the rebels always came out of halftime flat because of lack of halftime motivation ? maybe ? at least this years squad had been proven to come out and relax for the first 4-6 mins of the 2nd half and then turn it back on.
