Rebs, per ESPN, are -12.5. Way too much IMO. SJSU is 2-4 in conference (wins vs UNM and UNR, losses vs USU, at SDSU, at Fresno, vs CSU). SJSU lead by 3 vs SDSU with 1:08 and ultimately lost by 2 on a 3ptr at the buzzer.

Rebs have won 4 of 5 with the one loss being at Boise St by 7.

The next two games are huge must win games if UNLV wants any chance to finish near the top of the MWC. The only chance UNLV has to get into the tournament is to win the conference tournament. What is important is to keep up winning so that they can get attendance back up and build towards next season!

Definitely gotta beat SJSU at home. I think the general fan will not be terribly upset about losing to UNM.... only because New Mexico has built up a bit of a name for itself. Those paying attention know that, while productive, UNM is sort of a dumpster fire right now.

Obvious I'd rather them be able to win a bunch of games and get in the tournament, but earning any good will with fans has got to be a *very* close second....

I think today has shown that UNM is a bad team that has a good record due to the Menzies effect of playing all out of conference cupcakes!
