Moses Wood doing well.
Jenkins doing about the same as here.
Diong not getting that much time at UCF
Blake getting freshmen type minutes
Grill getting less minutes at Iowa St than UNLV

Otz being hailed as turnaround artist.

The Otz offense last year could not free up some good 3 point shooters. If we had held on to one of Wood, Jenkins, or Grill we would be better this year as we have no shooters.

Let's see if he's still hailed as a turnaround artist come season's end. Conference play will be a gauntlet and those W's will be hard to come by.

BTW, only 17 of the nation's D-1 hoops teams have an easier schedule than Iowa State.
Undefeated with the 341st SOS. is that what we would want?
I mean, it would be nice to still be undefeated...but it doesn't mean that much if you haven't played anyone

I found their SOS was about 150 points higher than that (ESPN has them at 225), and they have beat a current top 25 ranked team in Xavier and a top 10 team in Memphis who have now fallen way down in the rankings! On the other side of things is a 7-5 UNLV team that hasn't won against any team ranked even near the top 100! UNLV is currently ranked 159th. I will take the Iowa State record over that of UNLV any day!

Good points. Nobody should be thinking UNLV is better. I just think ISU is a deceptive 12-0.
BTW, how do I get to ESPN rankings beyond 68? I am old. Help a codger out.

Although Otz didn’t kill it while he was here and I’m certainly not his apologist, who cares how he fares at his next destination.
If he wins a national championship at Iowa State, it has no bearing on us..
If he falls into mediocrity and obscurity due to suckage, it has no bearing on us.
It’s like knowing your neighbor makes more money. Who cares.

That said, Chris Beard could eat a bag of D’s.

Grill 6 for 9 from 3 today to pull out win on the road. A shooter would really help unlv this year.
