I wanted to check to make sure that we'd have a game under our belts before playing UCLA. We do play at Sam Houston State before hosting the Bruins.
Gives our guys a little more time to learn their new roles before facing a traditionally better opponent.

Plus Sam Houston not a total pushover should be a good first game, same with Miami they gave Northwestern and Cincy a tough time. I might go to that one.
