I don’t think this was by actual design because there are a ton of moving parts and some you have no control over.

But with the P2/MWC drama, UNLV is in better position than anyone. It’s not often that UNLV is in the best position for things like this, the right move has to be decided upon, that’s all.

I know football fundraising has been really strong for NIL and other things. As it stands, UNLV’s player compensation packages will dwarf anybody else on the current league, including Boise.

I can’t tell if Mullen is a short timer or here for life, I’ve had no indications, my gut will always say we are a stepping stone.

But his vision is bigger than even Mullen’s and it seems more realistic because of our starting spot. There is an opportunity for UNLV to essentially “Gonzaga” their conference. Even with Boise State. They can become the St Mary’s.

A major key to that will be OOC scheduling.

I’ve never been more depressed about basketball but I’ve never been more excited about football.
