I have a subaru legacy. My wife didn’t let me keep my wrx. I miss having a 6 speed. My wife didn’t want to learn how to drive manual.

I was totally oblivious to the whole LGBT/Subaru thing until I saw this thread, then I found myself down a subReddit rabbit hole and LMAO at some of the commentary. "Lesbaru?" 😆 Then it all came together when a guy I work with, who is gay, had to replace his Toyota that had been wrecked two weeks ago. He replaced it with - you guessed it - a Subaru. I had to relate all this to him and he just nodded and smiled, amused at how unaware I was.

I never thought of that, but it's actually a great point. Just leave the keys in it and like 90% of the population wouldn't know what to do with it.
Unless the doors are unlocked and someone knows how to push start it. Which I had to do on my old manual.
They'd give themselves away as they tried to drive since you'd hear the grinding of the gears. That and the jerky motion in first gear. No way they'd make it past a block.
TBH there is a really good hand car wash place by my house, though these days I don't know if I trust just anyone to know how to drive a stick. I'm afraid of witnessing exactly this.
I still might give it a shot, it comes with a decent discount to a nearby dope ass burger place and a good taco place.
Most people wouldn't know what the grinding of the gears is coming from. On the other hand most people would look like a dog turning its head to the side with the mere mention of "push start."

I know you and I have debates back and forth but one thing is for sure we both like good food and Houston is a hotbed for cuisine. I believe there was a football post last fall where you were talking about Asian Fusion and Korean or Vietnamese BBQ ribs… lol!
100% Houston is a great food city and very underrated.
The Oil industry has made this an extremely diverse population. The country where I work and where I used to live is the most diverse county in the USA. Over 20% or Caucasian, African American, Latino, and Asian each.
That kind of fusion leads to some really good stuff.
Then there is the Texas staples like BBQ and Tex-Mex (which isn't THAT much different from the Mexican food that I grew up on, but they invented fajitas and queso, so that's cool).
There was a Tex Mex place we ate at when we went there for the SB it was in an old movie theater. Man that place was good. We went to another place in Sept for the UNLV I forget the name it was pretty good. Where they invented fajitas. Not nearly as good as the other place but it closed during Covid. We also went to a steakhouse that was awesome B&B Butchers.
H-Town is friggin huge. Been there a couple of times. Not sure where I was really at any of those times.
Right that was it. It was good. Meat needed a little more flavor I thought but it was still good. The movie theater place was the best flavor.
