End of Half..

That and Marcus Arroyo seems to be afraid of having a player actually draw some attention to the program...

Tate has been on the field since his injuries, albeit for just one play.

Honestly what sense does that make?

Why even bring him in if you are only going to let him rot on the bench.

Maybe he hasn't exactly lit it up in practice..

I don't think it is some Arroyo vendetta against Martell.

Tate cannot have been a worse option than Rogers. Im sure rogers is a good kid, but he has absolutely not been acceptable as a d1 qb. No way in which Tate could reasonably have been worse, and we know he's healthy enough to have been put in the game in a situation where he would be tackled...

Tate came in late and was dealing with a thumb injury.

So he was likely behind with the playbook.

He then had the foot issue.

I don't think Rogers is better. I just am not sure Tate has done enough or had enough of a chance to separate himself from Brumfield or even Friel at this point.

The injuries haven't helped.

I'm not high or down on Martell, I'm pretty indifferent about him.

I meant when friel and brumfield were unavailable to close the USU game. I think Brumfield and Friel have been pretty good. When both healthy, I might have a hard time imagining Arroyo go back to Brumfield and I wouldn't be upset if thats how it went.

I guess it concerns me that he has extremely limited ability to actually evaluate talent when its on the field. How he started Rogsrs to begin the year and didn't recognize immediately that sometimes simply grasping the playroom is not enough... ill never understand.

At a certain point, you need football players. He has two at qb that we know about.

Edit: and also a note, against USU, we were on week 7 of the calendar. 7 weeks should be enough to have more than a package of one play for a qb as talented as most think Tate is. I know he wouldn't have had a traditional install, but man... seems like it would have been worth a shot with the game on the line.

I would agree with you assessment on Tate. Im not high or low on him either. I'm high on Brumfield and Friel, but exceptionally low on Rogers. So Tate would have been next man up just by virtue of giving him a chance.

Fair enough.
