Personally, I feel if we don't pursue Lavin, why not take the risk on Gottlieb? I don't feel the other candidates have too much to offer other than maybe the safety of continued mediocrity. You take Gottlieb and assemble a more veteran coaching staff, why not? In terms of X's and O's, I'm sure he would be competent. Keep Miller on for recruiting... and add a seasoned former head coach to the staff. Additionally, he went on record to say he would actually WANT the job.

I would LOVE it if we hired Doug Gottlieb...to call our games, not as a noob thrust into a HC position. He's been an awesome UNLV cheerleader and I'm thankful for all the positive things he's said about the program when all the other butthole talking heads ignore us but that doesn't make him a HC candidate.
