Got to check out the squad today and I am glad all the other previous coaches are gone and Stacey is finally able to coach the defense. Full court press and trapping was what was being drilled today. Talk about organized chaos, my head was spinning trying to keep track of the ball and all the players rotating to the ball. Opposing teams better go 3 deep at the PG position when they play us.
It was nice meeting up with Hank and its hard to make that man smile...but when he does, you know something has to be going well.
Starting on the team is not going to have no 'meaning' on this team. What i mean is that players 1-10 are going to get significant minutes. As of right now, I'd pencil in Jerome, Pat, Goodluck, Zim and either Ike/dwayne/Jordan. The freshman are still trying to acclimate to playing defense. Seeimg Derrick Jones's athleticism in person is undescribable. Ike Nwamu is 'swoll'!!! I didn't know he was that big? If he played for Kruger, he would be a 4 or 5. I wouldn't be surpised to see him post up alot this year.
