If Orji can’t push Colandria in Spring, I say they need to find a QB after spring ball in the portal!
I thought Colandria would be the starter, but as I listen to Mullen, I think he sees alot of Tim Tebow in Orji. And those were some really good years in Florida. If he can get Orji's passing up to keep from being 1 dimensional his physical skills and winning leadership might be the extra bit we need.
Paraphrasing here but Mullen basically said (with out actually saying it) he felt Michigan did a poor job utilizing Orji's skills and molding the offense around what he did well.
How is Orji pronounced? Because I hope it's not pronounced the way I think it is. If it is, I want to be his advertisement agent.

I want to hear an announcer say "Orji in Las Vegas" at least once per game.
Nobody has seen anybody yet, so until spring rolls around, we are all just guessing.
My guess is he brought in Orji because he’s a physical specimen with some throwing ability and they can coach him up with passing. And I’m sure Mullen would have confidence they could get him there.
We tried with Jason Thomas. Some success but limitations there. We tried with Armani Rogers and that was straight failure and sticking with him when it was evident he couldn’t pass was the end of the line for the staff.
Robinson was a name coach, hall of famer, strength was line play. Sanchez was a nothing.

He doesn't have to be a great passer. But 3rd and 7+ can't be a death sentence for the offense either.
Issue with Armani was, the offense ran the ball well. Early in games he saw a lot of favorable coverages. Cotton would dial up an easy look, and pass would be two yards over an open receivers head or at his feet.

You have to be able to make the "easy" throws at the very least. If you can't at least do that, then defenses will just feast on you.
100%. Tebow wasn't a great passer, but he was an incredible player at the college level. He wasn't a bad passer by any means, averaging around 200 ypg his last 2 years, but I think a lot of his yards came out of the big run threat, and leaving receivers pretty open.
Agree with that. He doesn’t need to be Fouts, Marino (dating myself) or Brady. Have to be able to make the simple passes that keep things honest. Funny, you do that, things open up, confidence grows, then that 15 yard out across the field isn’t quite as difficult.
