Nunu 10 points (4-5) 5 Rebounds 0 Assist 1 Steal 1 Turnover

Wish Menzies would play Beck & Juiston together.

Huge no call on the Big Guy Carter for the push to get the offensive rebound away from Diong. I though the effort was much better by McCoy tonight on defense but the thing we cleaned up in the last game came back to haunt us again tonight and that was turnovers. They were +7 on us (16-9). if we get shots instead of the extra 7 turnovers and make four 2 pointers we win the game.

The key is for us to find a way to limit our turnovers to single digits and keep improving on defense.

Speaking of turnovers, how does Juiston who doesn't handle the ball and only plays one half of the game lead the team in turnovers? He does turn it over a lot for a non ball handler.

Clyburn is one of the worst small forwards to ever put on a unlv Jersey.

Heck he might be worst ever since 86

I agree. Really wish Beck and Juiston would play together. Both tough to stop inside.

Juiston drives the ball and is a pretty unselfish passer with the ball in his hands. Not only that, but usually he is in the lions den (middle of the key) with his hands on the ball. He could stand to cut down on the turn overs, but that his turnover rate is high isn't surprising to me.

No way. Not even close.

I don't want to say his name, but the guy I have in mind played in the Bayno era, was considered a great "practice player", and received WAY more minutes than he should have gotten.

He played SF and tried his hand playing PG too. He had some sort of mental issue - he couldn't bring the ball down court without turning it over. I felt bad for him. You could feel the negative energy from the fans when he was in the game.

DO?

At least Donovan was semi tough. Clyburn is very soft. Probably our best was Steady Eddie Owens. What a sweet stroke he had. El Hud would have been the best ever if not for the injuries. Hard not to include Augmon in the discussion.

Oh please, if we.re changing the topic to best, Stacey is the only possible answer.

In my opinion, he's the best Rebel at any position, ever. His teammate, LJ, was the horse on that team, but all of the success that they had, were because Augmon made it happen.

He was one of the best finishers college basketball has ever seen. And his tenacious defense kept "Plastic Man" in the NBA for 15 seasons. Anyone who has a different answer, must have become a Rebel fan after 1991.

Loved Stacy. He was my favorite player on that team. Best defender to ever wear a Rebel jersey.

I was just thinking about what this team and most of our teams for the last 2 decades have missed and that is a small forward that could score. If you never saw Eddie play then you dont know why he is UNLV’s all time leading scorer. Sweetest shooter to ever come through here.

I did see "Easy Eddie". Those late '70's teams were the ones that attracted me to the Rebels to begin with. And you'll get no argument from me about his sweet stroke.
