TJ's 1st coaches show is tonight at 6pm on AM 920. I'm interested to see what progress he seems to think the team is making during practice.

That's fine, they'll have to earn anything better. No one is falling for the hype anymore. Hopefully TJ is the real deal.
Coach and team sound good. With Tillman eligible and Dontonio to shoot, they should be better than last year easily
He better be. We aren't going to beat any teams on talent alone that's for sure.
They may not have overwhelming talent but they have 1 starter that would now be considered a 4 star talent in Tillman, and one who has a chance to be a all conference player in Hardy.
We now also have an elite shooter.
The rest are wild cards with Hamilton having potential.
More interested in this bunch than some of the 5 star freshmen we had in years past that you could see were way overrated from the beginning. Only player from rice years that over achieved was Pay McCaw

Don't we have some pretty good players in Tillman, Hardy and Diong? They are surrounded by some other players that were either heralded incoming high school players (4* Hamilton) or have decent reputations from other schools.
If you're telling me that Wyoming, CSU, Air Force, and SJSU have better talent, I don't buy it. I think we could be on par with Boise and are behind UNM, Reno and SDSU.

This is the continuation of keeping expectations at flea limbo level, like with Muchies.
If you see a year where the coaches say the wrong things and the players say the wrong things, it’s going to be a long year. And let me know when you actually see it as such.

Listening to TJO's coaches show was outstanding. Just listening to the kind of energy and passion... and let's not forget the knowledge and understanding... he has for the game... so refreshing!
Coach Otz talks a hundred times better than Coach Menzies. I’m excited beyond belief that we have a new Coach. We are not in a “process “.. We are not in a ten year plan. We are in a win every game plan. It’s going to be a whole new mindset.. we will be much better than anyone expected. Go Rebs... kick ass....

Both of which say - don’t plan on us winning but I’m going to try and bullshit and Jussie and stay here as long as I can to collect a paycheck.
