Offensively struggled even though they shot it well in the first game. Were active defensively, very active. Won both games of course.
Shooting doesn’t look like it’ll be an Achilles heel, scoring will be at times. If defensive intensity is where it’s expected to be, they’ll compete. But offensive sluggishness overall, player movement, ball movement. A lot of dribbles. Mouths to feed. Still getting used to each other on that end (offense is always harder than defense).
Sounds kind of like Lon's teams. I'd imagine Kevin is also spending a vast majority of practice time on defense. which isn't a bad thing, if you like winning. Guys who can put the ball in the hoop will step up.
Sounds good to me. I'm not expecting an offensive juggernaut but I would like to see us kick some ass on defense and own our home court for once.
Defense leads to offense. Turnovers can lead to easy buckets. I am not expecting a tourney bid but over .500 in conference would be a good start.
