I hope to see some recruit soon since Odom has decided the best way to recruit at Purdue is to grab UNLV players.
I thought we had lost one of those two great RB's. I guess I was wrong. The defensive players look great. Christensen was another guy I thought we lost. Always glad to be wrong in this case. Cassidee Miles WR sounds like he could be great with our new QB.

Existing players hitting the portal. No issue. But Odom literally wasted like what 5 or 6+ offers of ours on this year's class? Knowing he wouldn't be at UNLV next year. I mean he did great here, but that's just not a good look. He literally recruited 1/4 of our 2025 class for Purdue.
What is strange is that article from SI is from today. I'm not going to waste my time with SI if they can't get their shit straight.
Harper had hoped that Odom would show some integrity but, I guess that was too much to ask.
Good luck with that... As much fun as out defense was to watch and pretty solid as a MWC team, there aren't a lot of first round draft picks that we face in the MWC and there are in the Big 10...
Agree. I don't think this will pay off long-term for him. We got bullied on the lines by Boise. Even St John, who came from the SEC originally, isn't SEC or Big10 caliber (in my opinion).
Interesting career arc. 2022 was really productive. 34 catches 5TDs.
Fell off the map next two years. Injuries? Couldn't break into starting lineup after transfer to Arkansas?

He says he was in a car accident, sustained an injury and the trainers told him he was fine, he went to get a second opinion on the injury and the shortly after was released from the team.
If nothing else he makes the Key and Peele all name team. 😀
I guess we will be using TE’s going forward.. I feel bad Ballungay missed out on being in a Mullen led offense versus Marion!
If that is true, then he has a nice big lawsuit available against the school.
I like this ad seems like a low risk high reward situation which is perfect for us Ns he definitely has some size to him.
I think he was the backup punter last year.
We aren’t done yet. We’re gaining traction on more visits. Hoping the commitments net positive, but we’ll have a better idea next week.
I would have liked to have kept him, I thought he had some potential. But this might be a situation he was 'encouraged' to look elsewhere.
No way to know for sure, but I believe at least the ones who followed him to Purdue.
There are toss ups, like Catalon. He might have stayed if Odom didn’t leave. Realistically UNLV wasn’t high on his options without Odom. His best bet was either take a chance at making an Nfl camp, or seek out the best Nil he could get. Knowing his issues, the nil path made the most sense.
Chittenden (A LOT of money), Burrell(starting time), Nichols(going home), and the ones that would have left with Marion would have been impossible to retain. Marion would have been out even if Odom stayed.
Even Nichols, the punter who went to Georgia Tech. I doubt he stays even with Scheibest.
A lot of people don’t realize that there was animosity on the staff. We didn’t see it because we saw victories.
I don’t think Marion would have been here next year had Odom stayed either. Whether HC or OC somewhere else, I think he wore out his welcome pretty early.
No doubt Odom made an offer to Catalon, but I don't think he could afford him!
That was noticeable in the way the offense play calling went sour in the second half of the season.
From the outside looking in Marion seemed polar opposite. Marion is a coach cut from the same cloth as many of these social media athletes. I especially felt that way when he stepped on the field with his quarter zip down bearing his dumb ass go go chain. I was a little blown away Odom even allowed that.
Allowed vs tolerated. The whole mess with Sluka signed Marion’s exit. I think Odom would have gone to a different OC this year if he didn’t see the potential for this season.
