The stupidity of paying a guy that type of money that wouldn't even be playing for the NFL. I guess there are just too many people out there with money to give away!
Beck will be a step down from Cam Ward, I think Miami will be regretting this move come next season!
NIL is effectively annual free agency. The pro's can legally prevent annual free agency due to collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) negotiated between player unions and team owners. These agreements are exempt from antitrust laws and allow certain anticompetitive practices when they result from collective bargaining. Until the NCAA or some other body ( a league of the P4 teams skipping the NCAA altogether?? ) collectively bargain with the players this will continue to happen and get worse every year. There is more money than there are talented skill players.
NIL agreements will push AD's and Presidents to form a new college league faster than otherwise would be believed. They are not going to continue to give up that booster $$ to players.
Definitely a step down but still good. Not $4MM good but enough to keep them competitive. Crazy though no wonder he pulled from the draft.
Most definitely NOT $4MM good, but maybe 1-1.5MM but not 4MM! Lol
$1 million would still be more pay than about a dozen NFL QB's, in truth $50 K is more in line, but rich boosters with deep pockets has changed the game to the highest level of stupidity!
