The NCAA needs to change the opening of the transfer portal to after the bowl games.

The NCAA needs to change the opening of the transfer portal to after the bowl games.

I thought about that but, wouldn't that get in the way of a January/Spring enrollment at the new school. This situation with portal transfers interfering with bowl games is going to continue. I'm thinking maybe one or two bowl games just need to be eliminated. You might get one or more teams with six wins missing out on a bowl game but at least you have less chance of having a bowl game with a 5 win team. Army has had a great season and now they have to play a team that initially didn't qualify.

Solution: Structure NIL to withhold a portion of the revenue until end of the bowl season. If a player bolts or refuses to play in the bowl game, that’s fine but he loses said portion of NIL. It should be an NCAA rule so it keeps all schools on the same playing field.
