Weird situation. Is he transferring because the OC got canned? Or is he getting benched or something?
IMO UNLV hired the best of the two Oregon assistants. UNLV hired Arroyo who was the offensive coordinator. Boise hired Avalos who was the defensive coordinator. Right now Boise is having problems.
From Hurricane Hank to Hangdog Hank. Whatever it was, his meeting with Koetter didn't go to his liking. Will be interesting to see whether Green or Vidlak gets QB1. I'll say Green because he is so dynamic and has been in the system longer, if that means much at this point. I hear Vidlak is the better passer, tho. May be who they turn to if they need to come from behind and time is getting short.
Things are collapsing quickly for BSU. Currently UNLV is ranked in front of BSU which I do not think has happened even once since they joined the MWC! The Massey rating composite has UNLV ranked 76th and has BSU ranked 81st. UNLV is only a couple of spots behind Wyoming and FSU. Air Force is 49th, but I am not sure about that rating considering they lost to Wyoming?

Next in the crosshairs at BSU has got to be OL coach Tim Keane. Granted, they had to start a true freshman at RG the last couple of games because RG1 has been out all year and RG2 has been out for two or three games. But that doesn't mean the rest of them have to play matador. The only thing missing is the crowd shouting "Ole'!" as the DL blows by. You'd think former BSU HC Dan Hawkins might've warned someone, as both Plough and Keane came from UC Davis. On the other hand, he may have been glad to see them go. I think Avalos will be fine, but he's been having a hard time finding his footing when it comes to putting together a staff.
Up until this very season, I disagreed. CMA seemed in over his head to me. That or he faked it until he made it and has started making things work.
But Avalos has been... bad. At BSU up to this point. 7-5 last year is the worst season BSU has had since I believe 1998 when they were a Big West squad.
Plough out and Koetter in could be interesting. Hard to imagine the significant chances happening needed to get it going to their expectation without an offseason... as for hank... if he is transferring because he was tied to Plough, then he should go. Plough had been abysmal in his role in Boise.
