Bruh took the first ride out of town to a shittier destination. Barry is a clown.
Very little on his 'X' account about UNLV. Almost like he wasn't here.
Snooze! They way he handled the MWC championship removed most of my good will for him. I respect what he did for the program, but not how he left the program!
We should all feel lucky that he took the time to write anything to us peasants!
This, seemed like at first he didn't want to provide a statement at his outgoing.
But, was forced to say something and make it like this was genuine.

We're lucky he came and did what he did. I had more fun watching his games at Allegiant than I did in 30 years worth of previous games by other coaches. For me, only J. Rob came close.

Same here if he left this week after being contacted Monday I would be a LOT better with it but to me it looks like he couldn’t give a shit about Friday and focused on himself which for me erases a lot of what he did for us.

Also, I doubt the 29 seniors “threw” the CCG because Odom was heading out the door. We played our worst game of the year in Boise and still stayed within 2 TD’s.
Very thankful for what he did for the program. 19 wins in 2 years (plus 2 MW championship game appearances) was only ever dreamed about. While it sucks that he is now gone, I think everyone would have signed up for that at the time. Can’t even say I blame him. Twice the money is hard to turn down.

Maybe not. With transfer portal open some schools would not have waited for Odom to finish his season had UNLV won knowing Odom could change his mind and leave them with nothing.
I don't think he threw it on purpose but definitely think it was low on the priority list. And that showed in the on field results.
Two red zone penalties inside the 10 were not on Odom. Field goal clank on cross bar not on Odom. 17 points left on the field by players. If we lost by 7 or 3. His stock with a playoff would be bigger. He's the 13th highest salary in his new league. We need P4 paychecks to keep a winning coach. Hell Reno lost Norvell to Colo State.

I have no doubt that he did a shitty job coaching for the MWC game. Could anyone have possibly rated him higher than a D?
Yeah it isn't like this is the first game of the season that we left points on the field. Our lowest scoring output of the season was 23, another game where we left points on the field, yet vs BSU we scored 16 fewer points than that and a defense that isn't as good.
When Purdue is 3-8 next season, it’ll be interesting to see his pressers and he’ll go back to the cutoff Belichick look.
