Attendance

Start 1-2...I can't see a path to bowl eligibility that I would think is realistic.
Agreed on this.

Now that we have the gimmee out of the way, looking at the schedule, I think the first 6 games will tell the story:

Idaho State = W
Cal/North Texas = have to win 1 out of 2
Utah State/UNM/SJSU = need to win 2 out of 3

We'd be sitting at 4-2 heading into the difficult 4 game stretch of the year:

AFA
ND
SDSU
Fresno

You would assume that we're going to be heavy underdogs in all 4. Assuming we drop all 4, then that leaves the final two games that we must win to become bowl eligible:

Hawaii
UNR

I think that is our path, unless they exceed all expectations beyond imagination.

In that tough 4 game stretch, I think Fresno is a possibility...As well as SDSU.

For whatever reason UNLV seemed to match up well with them last year.

SDSU has been fantastic on defense for awhile. That defense can keep them in games against just about anybody. Their offense however has been really bad, and allows teams that have no business being in the game to stick around..

If you think this team, that lost to EWU last year, is at the same talent level this year, then your point is valid!

Hard to say. Some pieces yes, others maybe and others maybe not..

Passing game better.
Running game? Not sure yet. More questions about O-Line. I think Running Backs are fine.

Defense...Hard to say..Without their best player Jacoby and Scott was expected to be one of their better guys it will take some guys really stepping up to make up those losses.

Are they better? I think so...How much better, don't know.

Cal will likely be favored, meaning the books think Cal is a better team. UNLV will be viewed as a live dog..

I think the Rebs have a shot, but we are a long way from a lock in any game at this point..

Basically..

You ain't done s#!+ until you do some $#!+ and we ain't done $#!+ just yet...

Cal was #33 in total defense last year.
