By the looks of it i bet i could memorize everyone's first name by halftime. Not including staff and media. Strictly fans. Not now maybe 10 years ago. The echoing because of being so empty it pretty significant.

Posted on SM as 300 and that guess drew a few laughs.

If somebody really wanted to, looks like they could count it in about 2 minutes.

It would have been a sellout, but the Knights are playing and it’s chilly and a bit wet, plus Christmas is right around the corner.

Looks like a cozy crowd though. Good time had by all.

UNLV, the board of regents, and the idiot Gov have no clue how much damage their politics and mandatory vaccine has done to their support base. In my line of business i am connected to a lot of past long term boosters and alumni of UNLV sports who have washed their hands of the basketball program due to the vaccine requirement. My best guess is these people alone would buy several hundred season tickets every year, and now they are mostly gone!

Attendance: 637

Capacity: 12,000

This is what is on the ESPN box score. This is the announced attendance And as we know that is probably double of how many that were really there. Why are they not giving tickets to every elementary school to try and build a young fan base?

Even if the vaccine mandate wasn't in effect, the crowds would be sparse. The difference wouldn't be noticable imo. The crowds were non existent before Covid. People got used to staying home. Besides getting blown out by SMU and San Fran didn't help either.

I tried to six get tickets the entire week prior to the Seattle game. Stubhub, Vivid seats, ticketmaster et. and there were NO tickets available. Two popped up just before the game at $172 ea. I went to loads of Aces games and they were well attended ( especially for the playoffs). There were always people selling their tickets on these sites and you could go. UNLV girl had two tickets available but I was taking a group of six and didn't get hers. End result - my group didn't go.

Just as I write this I checked VIVID and STUBHUB for Hartford. 8 total seats available at $108 ea. There should be hundreds of seats popping up. For the Mich and Wichita T-Mobile games there were 100's of seats available - but not for the recent games at the Mandalay Bay.
