I personally would like this to be over sooner… so are we moving on from Kevin or will it be more of the same pain for another year?

There’s a lot going on. Obviously the hit pieces on him and UNLV shows someone has an agenda.

There’s also some seriously pissed off boosters and fans that want CKK canned immediately.

There’s a lot at stake with money, people’s careers at risk, not just Krugers but obviously Harper. Someone has a real axe to grind with the AD.

I think with the decision, money has to be in the account and someone has to be lined up to replace CKK.

Harper seemed visually upset.not the usual happy go lucky greeter ..and could have talked to all in attendence in about 5 minutes..maybe because an away game on your home turf and blown out. Heats on..i know he has to want to go another direction. Maybe hands are tied on account of money. Nobody wants kevin gone because a bad guy. Just dirty work has to be done .(get on it harp) or way too much risk of more of the same with no support.

If KK stays, the T&M might be see its lowest attendance figures ever for UNLV basketball. There's literally nothing to draw people. DTJ is gone, too. Who's going to put butts in seats? The free hotdog guy?

I sat next to a man from Utah last night. ( UTE supporter just in town to watch BB ) He hasn't been to the T&M since the Conf Tourn game in 1998 where a Bayno team edged out Utah. He couldn't believe there were so few Rebel fans last night. Had him shaking his head. He remembers the '98 game as nearly full with wild and raucous fans. Then he talked about how Utah can't draw a crowd either.

The S16, beating BYU in the MWCT when the competition was fierce, beating #1 UNC … all top moments post-Tark.

But that 98 WAC championship was insane … probably because each game was a minor to huge upset and it spanned 4 games in 5 days, you didn’t have time to catch your breath or come down from that high.

Yeah that was when the coaches in conference were crying that UNLV had an unfair advantage.

But that 98 WAC championship was insane … probably because each game was a minor to huge upset and it spanned 4 games in 5 days, you didn’t have time to catch your breath or come down from that high.

I was actually thinking the same exact thing. When nesby hit free throws to ice the game was chaos. Cant believe been that long ago. So much euphoria carried over wound up I watched clippers games all the following season.

Plus all the teams we beat were good. Hawaii, FSU , Utah and NM all recieving Not just a bunch of MWC current cast teams.

The last two seasons, I haven’t seen anyone that makes me go “he’s going to the nba” and root for the kid.

Talent evaluation is troubling under CKK, not just evaluating but developing. His postgame comments about bringing everyone back and letting everyone decompress before going over development stuff. You just bombed out and finished 18-15…and you bring out the kid gloves?

I just have to laugh, the guy doesn’t get it and probably never will. There’s zero urgency with this guy.

That terrible baseline Jordanesque fader from the baseline … I had hair back then, almost pulled it out. And it dropped through.

Seriously, that was such a memorable moment. I can still pinpoint the popular songs at that time. Everything is frozen, pristine in my mind.

I gotta find that really old video UNLV put together.

If things are that bad behind the scenes, how long can we expect Harper to stay here?

I just don’t get this dragging out, unless the decision is to keep him?

If boosters are upset, then money has been discussed before now and there must be some cold feet by some?

With the President stepping down suddenly, I wonder is Harper next to leave?

I hope not because that would more than likely leave Kevin in place, with a new person or persons in the President chair and the AD.

I sure hope Harper stays because if not, I could see all of this come tumbling down, football included!

Yea i could not afford to go much or had the ability to get there at that time in my life but one of the greatest moments was going from NON_FANS yelling Dickhole you suck and then his bye his Senior year the whole building yelling M.V.P

I think the 1998 tournament run was my first real exposure to UNLV basketball as a kid, and that Utah game in particular made me realize why my family were such hardcore UNLV fans. The New Mexico game stood out, too. It made me a fan for life, at least.
