Howland is in his last year of the four year contract with MState. I can't find any information on a contract renewal. He was getting 2.05 million. We know he is a West Coast guy and after four years in the South he may be ready to come home.

All DRF has to do is view the video of a drunk Jans being inappropriate with women at a bar and it's over. That is what got him fired from his first head coaching job. I just don't think she would be too impressed. He seems like a good coach though.

Coaches know DRF did not hire Marvin. They also know it’s a business. UNLV has excellent facilities and if the pay is right they would take the chance. Coaches have egos beyond this board. They don’t go into a new job thinking they better produce or they will get canned. They could get canned from anyplace. With the right contract to improve their financial position for themselves and their families you go for it. The only way I would agree with you is if a coach makes a lateral move. As for the desperation aspect of your statement all I see is the desperation from fans that don’t have confidence in DRF. I personally think we are going to be better off going forward. Let it play out.

Most Rebel fans along with our AD had no confidence in Marvin. It’s just that simple. Nothing to over think. I have faith in DRF to upgrade our future.
