Any Signees?

Speaking of McCoy, I saw and talked with him last night at the Air Force game.
He still comes to games? i have not seen him? How could i miss him?. Dude had skills ,but did not have the fire it would take to showcase such skills. Seemed like he reacted a step too slow (mentally) to game situations.

Lazy AF, entitled AF.

As much as I disliked Munchies, some kids are virtually unreachable, especially at certain points of their lives.

Yea to me he seemed like he was afraid of building up any kind of sweat. Like he was used to playing against total scrubs his whole life and did not know what to do when faced against even decent players. They tried to hide him against Ayton. Thought he would just walk his way into a NBA contract.

Given his size, weight, length, skill set, he should have absolutely dominated the MWC every night, should have been more dominant than a guy like Queta. He had a lot going for him but we got very little out of him. That’s on him.

The assumption was dominating lesser competition in SD, that he came from a disciplined (assumed) household (a mom and dad, I think one was an educator, one was military), strong grades, multiple instruments … the strong assumption was we had a kid that worked his ass off. And that should have been the assumption because it was laid out impressively on paper. But he was none of that, they were all looking for the easy way, sadly. And the kid will pay for it.

You cannot replace work ethic.

It’s why kids need to be pushed, not coddled.

Absolutely right about many players. Need a good kick in the butt. Many successful coaches are stern. But there are some players that don't respond to that - fewer and fewer as time goes by and society changes. That said, I don't think any type of methodology would have worked on McCoy.

I don’t think so either. Same with Wood. It took Wood several years out of college before he started to figure things out, primarily, that he was his own worst enemy.
