only 3 Sanchez commits remain: Doug Brumfield, Alani Makihele, and Jeminai Leuta-Ulu. Jeremiah Houston had committed to Sanchez in the '19 class, but Arroyo re-recruited him from JUCO this winter.

Gone now are Justin Pinkney, Iopu Taulilli.

Will Brumfield even remain now that he is one of 7 QBs on the projected roster?!!!

Gilliam and Jenkins did announce when they were "re-opening their recruitment" and Dirk Nelson announced after he visited CSU and at the same time he committed to CSU.

Pinkney may be headed to Idaho State. Jenkins, Myles, Palmer, and Tuinei didn't have much in the way of other offers... so maybe the group wasn't so strong anyway. As discussed in a previous thread, Gilliam was highly ranked, but got big time offers before he even played varsity... and only UNLV and Kansas after the start of his junior season... he might end up JUCO or FCS.

Either we had great recruiting and he couldn’t coach them or he couldn’t recruit and we had great coaching.

My guess is that we had ho-hum recruiting and mediocre coaching.

Part of me wonders about Justin Rogers and his effectiveness as a potential DT QB. An obvious guy worth taking a shot on, but in the off chance that he is never recovered at a high enough level to play D1 ball, maybe there's only 6.

Armani and Gilliam eligibility ends after this coming season (right? Or is it next?). Grayson will be a senior in 2021, after presumptive RS year for Brumfield. Mumphrey, Oblad, J Rogers, and Brumfield will be on roster, right? I think I'm forgetting one more... but there's also the USU former commit who visited UNLV then decommited from USU. Forget his name... Yaro?

Kue Olotoa is missing from 247Sports yet he is a commit from the first OV weekend this past January. He is a LB from Riverside City College (RCC). Same college we picked up Vegas Vic last year. They say he is 6'2" 210. I found some video of him at RCC but, didn't see any high school footage. There probably is some if you search hard enough. They do have some high school wrestling footage of him but, doesn't do much good. RCC went 13-0 this year and he was a starter. He has 2 years to give to us so I hope he is a baller.

Like I said 247Sports doesn't list him but if they did he would count in the ranking like the two other Juco guys we show committed.

It tells me even with the new facility he couldnt recruit either, the new coaching staff decided they could do better in 2 months of recruiting than Sanchez did the whole time he was here. That said, without Sanchez there is no facility, with that i thank him for that, someone else will reap the benefits. I wish him luck, but he had no business ever being a head coach at UNLV, maybe Reno will hire him?

Some of those players don't have the grades to qualify, that's why they were removed from the class. No one will say that publicly as the reason why but it's commonplace in recruiting. No one wants to embarrass the kids.
