GCU is a private Christian university... he didn't dump cash just because he wants to see GCU flourish...
Billionaires don't have habits of throwing cash at things they have little connection too.. Id prefer Foley step up and help UNLV hockey get into D1... as for Mark Davis, in his mind, he's already allowing us to play in his stadium and he gave athletics money on top of it...

Last years stats. He couldn't get PT even when the team was up by 25. He played in 8 games and got 1 block. There is virtually zero video of him in college. A few H.S. videos where he did great as a man sized 7 footer. If he starts, we are in Menzies 1st year type trouble.

Jerry Colangelo dumps boat loads of cash into GCU. I'd like to see Mark Davis do the same for UNLV. $ 3 mil a year wouldn't touch him but it would make a giant difference to UNLV BB. Same for Bill Foley - his team is responsible for probably 3000 less fans per game - he should show some penance and give our BB team a couple of mill of love.

Foley is putting his money into UNLV Hockey, and isn't going to redirect it over to football or basketball!

It would have ended up around a 30K stadium like SDSU, which would mean no chance to EVER go to the Big12. I would rather swing big then to have an outdoor semi-covered stadium where not only is it hot, but it is also noisy with all the planes flying overhead!
