UNLV can, at least on paper, get off to a very good start if they finish this month of with a bang. All four remaining November games should be "winnable" starting with NAU tonight. That doesn't mean TCU and Washington/WKU will be easy, but you have to believe UNLV has a decent shot in those contests. And then starting off your road trip against SUU is about as easy as a road game can be. A 6-1 start would go a long way in gaining some confidence. Not enough to handle the big three they face in December, but a record like 6-1 makes it a little easier to take on those three losses.
They're going to have to finish this month out strong because December non-con is TOUGH. The only "sure" win is Incarnate Word. Then your next "easiest" game is hosting S. Illinois (don't know a lot about their team, traditionally a difficult conference for games such as these)... after those two, you have at ASU and at Oregon along with the Duke and KU game. Yikes. It's easy to foresee a 1-5 or 2-4 Dec non-con record heading into conference play the last week of the month with games at Colorado State and hosting Wyoming on NYE Saturday day.
