Why do you believe this is happening? Kruger's offense? Lack of secondary options? Areas in which DTJ needs to improve? Areas in which DTJ is unlikely or unable to improve?

I don't think this is on DTJ. It's on our defense. DTJ shot his average %. Dent should have been shooting his average ( 50%) Dent shoots his average we win by 6. We didn't have a scheme to stop him. Or Joseph, for that matter.

They are 132nd in 3 point shooting and only shot 23 % for the game. Why not throw up a zone and make it harder for dent to penetrate for that 8 foot jumper? Why not a gimmick defense (box and 1)? Double team dent as soon as he crosses the line?

Couple issues with that. With a zone or doubles, UNM probably has 30 offensive rebounds.

But given that we need to respond with something other than the status quo, was probably something we could have tried.
