You must already know who the new coach is. I couldn’t even predict 3 wins without knowing the coach’s name.

We are definitely not being Michigan. That's the only one that, to me, is a hard no absolutely not.
Probably not: Vandy, AFA, Fresno.
Possibly: UTEP, Hawaii, SJSU, Wyoming
Likely: CSU, reno, UNM
Better: Bryant

My guess is because we are now hamstringing the hire by playing the waiting game. All good transfers will be snagged and we’ll be left with you and I as “prized recruits” for this coach.

Dangerous game in my opinion to expect wins vs Vandy and SJSU. Even UTEP is a dangerous "expect to win" game. Not that we should lose it, but it shouldn't be looked at like Bryant in 2023 or ISU in 2022.
We have only one "expect win" on the schedule next season. Michigan.

I still think that we will get to 7/8 this season. Our coaching will be better overall and the player development will improve.
That would be amazing, considering what we've already lost in the portal. Hopefully they can still get some transfer additions, but even 6 wins in year 1 would be very commendable IMO

At 6-8, Nevada commit Jax Leatherwood can get the ball down the field with a flick of his wrist and is working hard to improve his mobility as well.

He has pretty good footwork, but you have to be kidding me with this. He's the worst mixture of QB. Tall (big target to hit), who can't move, skinny ass little legs (going to get broken), and highly inaccurate IN DRILLS. If he gets large minutes before his Junior season Reno is going to continue to stink. They need to focus on their Oline and just become a running team.
Probably be third string, Got Illingsworth and the Hawaiian recruit from last year. Oh yeah, nice class. Boreal would have done better.

I do like some of the transfer portal guys you're bringing in. QB is still iffy and losing Taua is going to be difficult to replace. He was a very good back. Your defense is still 100% trash. Worse than UNLV which is huge problem for Reno.
So you're bragging about a 6'8" QB who you think will be your 3rd string? That's odd.
Reno going to go from a QB named Cox to a guy named Leatherwood. I'm starting to see a trend.
