2016 Season Opener

Jackson St on Thursday Sept 1st. I know these games are necessary but they arent very compelling .We should be able to drop 80 on this team if we want to.

Games they should win OOC are necessary to get to 6 wins, this year they have two.

EDIT: Not to say that Idaho and JSU are the same, but both are games they should win.

Not very long ago it was a toss up if UNLV could beat a team like this, but with the progress made I fully expect to win and be the clear superior squad.

ive seen some bad games against fcs teams. but with coach TS in charge they wont take fcs teams for granted

Necessary evil. If Alabama can schedule The Citadel, we can schedule Jackson State.



I would much rather schedule a winnable home opener instead of a game against the likes of UofA. We have been the sacrificial lamb enough times. I honestly believe its hurt the program taking the 'money' games. Considering how pathetic the support for football has been, we need early season success to get the bandwagon rolling.

Beyond UCLA, SDSU and Boise State, this is a schedule consisting of teams that hovered around .500 or less.
It should be a 5 win season simply by default but they have to finish the season much stronger than last year

They gave everyone plenty of notice for this one being on a Thursday. No reason not to show up to a season opener regardless of opponent. A solid crowd week 1 will be a nice reward for this staff & players who are working so hard to get this program relevant.
