UNLV vs. AFA tonight

UNLV wins the Friday game 4-1 and struggles a little to win the Saturday game 11-10 to even the conference record at 4-4
The overall UNLV record is 19-8 which is a huge improvement over last year. The loss of the series to SDSU 2-1 at San Diego and the loss to New Mexico of the series 2-1 at UNLV is the difference between a good and great season. They still have the chance to play both of them agian.
It should be noted that UNLV was picked near the bottom of the conference while New Mexico was the top pick and SDSU was also picked at the front of the conference. Finish strong and UNLV should go to the playoffs.
A big series is coming up on the road at Fresno State which is a must win of the series. Then back home to play a huge single game agianst powerhouse Arizona State Followed by a 3 game home series agianst UNR which they need to sweep!

Fun environment to watch a game and Friday night's lasted a little over 2 hours. That's a welcome relief from the over 3 hour MLB games (unless you're the Yankees then those games last about 4 hours).
