Sooo Nice Guy Miller

You just keep up with your examples. Medicine is a totally different business. The come to you in most cases from referrals not from the company spending money to recruit you. Most people are have a primatry care doctor who gives them referrals when they need to go to a specialist. The only area that does not hold to that is cosmetic surgery in most cases. By the way, I have a family member who is a plastic surgeon, and they do sign on non-compete clause for their clients.

You can keep up with your examples which tells me you hae never been involved in a professional business, or you would know better.

As for going after New Mexico commits, if he has gone after commits who gave a verbal or more, I consider that a sleazy move.
You just know so much

You stated unequivocally that it did not happen in the private sector. I provided examples that it did.

A better argument or stance would have been that it does not happen 'as often' in the private sector. That businesses in the private sector, are able to use things like non-compete clauses to protect themselves. Instead you spoke in absolutes, which are always tough to defend.

You continue to bring up non-compete clauses. They were created to stop this type of thing from happening. That does not mean that every company forces employees to sign them at every job.

You have yet to disprove that it doesn't happen in the private sector. Why? Because it does happen as I have shown.

Your example of referrals and insurance companies has zero to do with this discussion. The medical field is the private sector, it still applies. If I see a physical therapist at Concentra, and he/she leaves to start his/her own practice I am not bound to go to Concentra. My insurance company may not cover it now, but I can choose to pay out of pocket if I want. I liked the care provided by this doctor or therapist, they said they were leaving and starting a practice. I have every right to seek care where I choose.

Just like the hair dresser, just like the personal trainer I mentioned. Because they aren't multi million dollar corporations or businesses, it does not exclude them from the discussion.

As for our coaching staff, they just offered a kid committed to New Mexico State. So make sure you have the same anger directed at them. They just did the same thing you were railing against. Based on your take on the situation, Coach Menzies is sleazy. UNLV uses sleazy recruiting tactics. How can you ever support such a coach and team?

Lastly-

You have absolutely no knowledge of my employment history. Seems silly and presumptuous on your part to insinuate I must not have worked in a particular field.

You made a blanket statement. That blanket had holes in it.

I think he stays committed , Andre LaFleur became the all-time NCAA Division 1 assist leader in 1987 (894 assists). I think Fisher can benefit under him. I hope he has already flew out to visit him.

So if Todd follows Menzies to UNLV does that make Menzies a rat?

Or does that make him loyal to the coach that recruited him and he has a relationship with?
If the kid makes the decision himself to pursue a change and decommits, that is one thing; but if Menzies is actively chasing a signed commit then ya, he is a big fat, f'n rat.
