So basically Gottlieb says guys during the Rice era weren't showing up to practice and weren't held accountable.
I wasn't there, I have no idea..But I'm not so sure about all of Jordan Cornish's response either..
Yeah people are still talking about that era, and a lot of it is what could have been, should have been etc..
My main memories of those teams were...
It was a talented group. But the parts were better than the whole.
I also always felt like certain guys showed up when the lights were on (See Oregon game) but not so much when it came conference time.
If guys were held accountable. If guys were going to practice where was the disconnect?
Sure, we can blame administration for how the firing went down. We can debate whether Dave should have been fired etc.
But if they had handled their business on the court none of that nonsense would have come about..
