As we wait to see what the Pac-12 will do regarding a rebuild or merger will that name really mean that much in the future? I've been reading that the B12 is looking at selling the naming rights of the conference. Possibly to "Allstate". It could possibly happen for the right amount of money where you might have the new conference name, as mentioned in the article linked below, as the "Allstate 12 Conference". Per the article it could land the B12 an additional 30 to 50 million dollars per year. They aren't the only ones that have talked about this. The Mountain West Conference could be one of those conferences in the future to sell it's naming rights. The NYTimes has an article about G5 conferences having that discussion however I can't get behind that paywall.


Anything that will get us more money I'm all for it.

I’m struggling to pull the trigger on my season tickets for the upcoming season. I keep hearing that the team will compete for the MWC title and is in a strong position to make the NCAA. I struggle to see it. We had the horses last year but didn’t have the coaching to get them there, at least not in the first few months of the season. Having DJ & Whaley back is great. Hill maybe can fulfill his potential. Hicks ought to take at least a small step forward. But I struggle to see the rest of the returnees plus the newcomers making this team a contender for the Dance, not even the MWC title. Knowing DJ is likely gone after this season just makes it tougher to invest in this program yet again. Staff should been all in on getting the best talent around him and swing for the fences this year, but it just looks like a mediocre team on paper. Someone please tell me I’m wrong, that we have more going for us than I understand. Can someone convince me that this is not the year to drop my season tickets?

I wonder if there is any way Kevin could get Keylan Boone back? There’s some weird rule that is allowing him to have another season. He started following me again on Twitter\X. He liked a couple of my posts. I have no idea what our scholarship situation is.

long time lurker but first time poster so we hope we do things correctly here and apologize if not. my buddies and used to play for the program and are relatively close to it still. we still talk to the guys in the locker room at every level and want to provide the best information available to the fans. thank you joe for setting this website up.

DJ, it’s amazing he starts. I know, I know, Kryie and Luka get all the shots so he “fits” in that he doesn’t need the ball. But he reminds me of old school Corky Ausborne just sitting in a corner and watching. Oh, unlike Corky, he will board crash a bit and grab an occasional oop. If he’s open, he will launch the three in mediocrity (but better than here). Defensively, he doesn’t look that disruptive, gets beat off the dribble a lot. Just looks like a journeyman.

over the past week, ten days, I’ve been swamped by texts from people wanting to know how bad they should worry. A few threads about it here with comments, texts from people here, family, etc. Even in public, I’ve been asked by people I know.

I’m not a doctor but obviously I’m in a closely related field and have access to information regarding it.

My take is similar to what is in this claim - at this point in time - but this is a novel virus, so I’m positive thoughts will change and maybe very drastically, so keep that in mind. It can get worse if we aren't careful and I don't believe we are prepared for worse. I came across it just a few minutes ago, looks like it’s been out there for awhile, but I believe it to be succinct enough and spot on FOR RIGHT NOW. If it worsens, it could potentially be a life altering event most of us have never experienced. Viruses are nasty, nasty, nasty

Kamran committed yesterday and announced about 2 hours ago. He is a huge pickup; the 6th highest rated recruit in UNLV history. Ranked as the 619th best prospect in America.

What was one of the pitches the staff gave him? That Jet Thomas produced as a true freshman and as a smaller back and he could do similar things. Barry and Co are hot right now.

Anybody hear anything about him? Gorman player. 6'10" Showing on "X" he will play for UNLV.
