Yesterday the SEC announced a 10 game conference only schedule. Football will start on 26 September. Do we have any idea when the Mountain West will announce their intentions?

It should be soon. I think they’re still waiting on the Big12 to officially announce their plans. With only 10 schools in the B12 it appears the conference only option might not work and they are likely to allow some OOC games so that their teams can play a 10 or 11 game schedule like the other P5 conferences are trying to do. UNLV needs to know the B12 plan because we have Iowa State that could be cancelled and we also have the rumored TCU game agreement.

After all P5 conferences have determined their schedules, I'd assume. MWC will be accepting any possible P5 matchups, but P5 schools will be canceling some of those matchups. After decisions are made for MWC by other conferences, then MWC will made decisions.

Between the incredibly weak leadership of Craig Thompson and the awfully weak position of the conference under his leadership (which he has been the commish the entire time MWC has existed).... MWC will bow to anyone.

Hopefully we find out tomorrow. Looks like a 10 game schedule is the plan. We’ll see if it’s the 8+2 or the 9+1 model. If it’s the 8/2 we may be looking for another game as Iowa State is looking iffy.
