We didn't utilize the bench. The little we did use yielded nothing of significance. 32 minutes went to the bench, the starters averaged 34 fricking minutes! I don't know if this was planned, if it was panic, or if it was a complete distrust in our bench. But the team was gassed in the second half. McCoy was gassed by the first TV timeout, guy isn't in great shape.

This can't happen game in, game out. Good news is we pop back to the easier part of our non-conference-like schedule with easy wins at San Jose, vs Utah State, at Air Force, vs UNM and at CSU. All very easy, no brainer, no contest wins; I'd be very disappointed if we don't find AMPLE time during those games to get some rest for the starters and experience for the bench. So after the 20th, we will be 5-1 in conference without expending too much energy against these teams. But we need to win handily and get some rest. After that point, we can start talking about our Sagarin, RPI, and NCAAT seeding with confidence. Just kidding about that last part, even though we will....
