if Cronin is a no go why aren't we looking at Miller? I'd say 75%-85% of fans want Miller back in some sort of capacity so why not head coach. Do we want him back because of recruiting? Or do we want him back because of the traits he's shown so far that we'd want in a head coach. He's energetic, he's personable, he can recruit, he can develop, he's won Mwc championships, he's been in the ncaa tournament, and he's shown authority.
Air Force incident was a perfect example of starting to create culture and it was recognized by others. He's responsible with the other coaches but at no times was he ever calling the shots. If it was his call no doubt in my mind Ike is sitting for a while.
Waiting 3 days for a coach to be announced and we are going nuts, think if we are waiting 3 years again to see improvement.
If Miller is hired we retain the players (players want him) and the pg we've desperately needed along with Carlos, Christian (who has big schools looking at him). You hire him on a short term notice and if progress is not made your not committed long term. If it doesn't work what's 2 years if we are looking at losing all our players and waiting 4 more years. This years team worked hard and a lot has to do with the change in the players we are bringing in now vs pre reset. Every single recruit we are bringing in next year (hopefully) are hard workers.
Imo he should get a look. He will be a head coach soon we are just getting him early. we are looking at immediate results with a 2 year risk vs a 3-4 year rebuild for 3mill.
