Today I couldn't help but think about what CTS says about his team when the offense makes a big play, should I be happy for the offense or disappointed in the defense & vice versa. The #1 D Line was getting after it today with a number of sacks. Are they getting better or is the O Line not as good as we thought?

Really enjoyed seeing the defense stunting at the line of scrimmage today. 6 & 7 guys jumping at the line of scrimmage making it hard for the O Line to figure out who is coming and who is dropping back. If you can't blow them away with talent you have to disguise what it is you are doing,

Gilliam and Armani both had a tough practice today, Armani got picked twice and Gilliam one time. The big QB battle is gonna be between Armani & his mistakes. He misses a lot of throws and hasn't shown the ability to put a soft touch on his passes when the situation requires it but his big play ability with his legs and his arm cannot be denied. That said if his mistakes start outweighing the good and a change needs to be made Gilliam is serviceable and has been making a lot of nice throws. It would be nice to see Oblad get some run with the ones. Coaches are giving him more and more time during the scrimmages and he is really coming on. His first toss today was for a td and he has an extremely accurate arm always putting the ball where he wants it.

#14 Myles Plummer had a nice interception today and it wasn't his first of the spring either. Seems to have a nose for the ball. Charles Williams was back in action today. Coaches know what they have with Lex & X and don't use them all the time during scrimmage. Evan Owens and Tariq Hallandsworth are getting an opportunity to fight their way into consideration. Drew Tejchman continues to impress and had at least one td today.

Guitterez & Pantels each made all of their PAT's.

CTS was stressing accountability after practice. He doesn't want to be the bad guy all the time and encouraging the guys to step up and call out teammates that aren't showing a good work ethic. Make every minute count while you are out here. Sounds kind of like the New England Patriots culture where the players take care of attitudes and work ethic.

Pete wouldn't it be great if Oblad turned out to be the home town hero. My prediction we go to a bowl game every year he is our full time starter.
