The first thing I noticed today was they have put up new fencing inside of Rebel Field to section off the area where they will begin construction shortly.

The first scrimmage session of the morning started with a 4 & out & Rogers at the helm. Next came Gilliam and he led the Rebs down the field for a TD on a very well executed drive. Rogers came back in and finished off the session with a 60 yd TD to a completely wide open Tejchman. Tman has really been the brightest spot for the receivers this spring popping the big plays.

Later in the day Oblad had a really nice 50 yd TD toss to a tightly covered Tman. But on the whole the day was won by the D Line which is a little disconcerting and possibly encouraging at this point considering it is supposed to be a weak spot for us. We have 5 guys coming in the summer we are counting on to shore that spot up but there were numerous sacks and tackles for loss today. Are they better than we think or is the O Line not as strong?

Speaking of the D Line we only have 2 guys in the middle with their hand in the dirt and they are fairly close together plugging up the middle. The other 2 lineman are standing and many times one or the other is dropping back into coverage.

A big concern is that the offense for the last 2 sessions is struggling in the Red Zone drills. Gotta find a way to put more than 3 pts up when we get there.

Flowers intercepted a Gilliam pass, Hollandsworth had a nice td run & X continues to impress as he seems to see the field better and is displaying nice footwork and moves.

On another note there seems to be a buzz around football as there are a lot more people showing up to watch practices. There was a high school coach in attendance with many of the kids from his school out to watch today. They may have been California 4-A CIF as that was on the coach's sweatshirt.

Can’t live without Pistol’s updates. He writes like a pro. Could Gilliam possibly start this year?
