Congrats to The Rebels for notching a "W" in their first road test. Yeah, I know, it's only Southern Utah, but a win away from home is always difficult, and they deserve credit for closing out the game in the final minutes...as Coach Menzies says, "Winning Time".

I must admit, I spent a good deal of the game just attempting to find the live stream. I thought it would be on the Rebels site. When that failed, I tried the MW Network. No luck there either. Finally landed on a grainy Big Sky stream, but the game was half-over.

But perusing the box-score, it appears that, while JP had a rough night, probably swept up in the emotion of facing Todd Simon, everyone else stepped up. Props to DM. 19 points and 14 boards. And a bunch of players in double figures.

Things are about to get alot tougher, but let's enjoy a decent effort in the first road win.

Go Rebels!

I predict that we will go 2-4 over the next six games. That assumes a home-court victory over Southern Illinois. As an aside, If I were a scholarship-eligible high-school athlete, I'd go to SIU just so I could be a Saluki. Coolest nickname in sports.

Anyway, that follows with the opening of MWC play at Colorado State. If this difficult stretch, against superior opposition, doesn’t dampen their spirit, I believe The Rebels will acquit themselves quite favorably in league-play.

So far, I am very happy with the play of the rebels. I just hope Santa can get our bigs healthy for conference play commencing in January.

It is also gratifying to see Green, Poysner, and Morgan, the three true red rebels, playing well and helping to anchor this team.

That was a great win considering Jones and Dembelle were out with injuries and Ofoegbu was sick. Hope those guys will be available for ASU.

FYI.... http://www.unlvrebels.com/ does a good job posting links to streams/radio/etc. They did have a link to the S. Utah game in the .... what is that called.... a game day ticket/info scroll? Anyway, they had the video stream link as well as link to TuneIn for the radio feed.

The severity of the injuries to the big guys seems like a guarded secret. Are they past the point of being "redshirtable?" I'm not saying that's what I want, but I wonder if it's on the table.
